Small, hands-on sessions in a private South Loop studio — camera in hand, not slides on a screen. Bring your own camera, or a phone if that's what you shoot with.
I've been a photography enthusiast for years, and I'd like to start teaching what I know to people right here in the neighborhood — small, hands-on classes in my own studio, covering things like camera basics, lighting, posing and composition, and editing. Nothing is set in stone yet. This survey is just me trying to figure out what would actually be useful before I build anything — which topics you'd want, what times work, and whether the idea makes sense at all. Your answers go directly into shaping what I put together.
Taught by a South Loop resident and small business owner of over 15 years, who's spent nearly as much time behind a camera as behind a desk — studio portraits, fashion work, and plenty of nights figuring out lighting the hard way.
This series is about handing over what took years to learn, in a group small enough that you can actually ask questions, get hands-on with the gear, and make mistakes without an audience.
A few frames from recent shoots, so you know the eye behind the class.
